In the Strange New Worlds/Lower Decks crossover, Boimler and Mariner found themselves transported to the past and transformed out of their usual cartoon-restrained appearance. While they gushed to each other about about meeting their heroes Mariner admitted to Boimler (in a brilliant ad-lib by Tawny Newsome!): "Look, I'm gonna keep this like 100% profesh, but I was thoroughly unprepared for how hot young Spock was going to be. Like what? The body, the face, the ears -- what?"
